Does onybody know if there is a nylon / rubber bush goes on the fork link thats sits in place on the back plate? dropped it to fit new tyres now ive a knocking and its no a tight fit and looks like it should be!

Nae bush in the link Scott, metal to metal, have yi tightened up the spindle nuts properly

did open it up tae have a look at the shoes, i did tighten it back up, seen as ive no noticed the knocking take it ~it should be a tight fit nige?

no, there isnt a rubber bush . as said, just metal to metal. youve probly cured it without knowing by tightening ya spindle nuts properly. you can put a thin plastic hose over it, but i wouldnt bother. is it an original series 1 backplate? big thread on LCGB site about these being weak. Big Bonn had one fail on him a few years ago, span the hub and locked the front brake on. theirs still a dent in the tarmac where he hit! worth checking though.
