Is there an easy way to remove the ring gear off the flywheel?
I thought about heating it with the blow torch and prising it off, but I don't want to damage the flywheel.
Is it an engineering shop jobby?

im sure the studs that hold it on are easily removed with a few taps of a hammer and chisel

I took mine off carefully just grinding away with a 4" angle grinder, when you get to the last mm's it'll spring off

get a new cutting disc for the grinder, hold the flywheel in a vice gently & go gentle, because the steel is high tensile it should just spring of with the tention

Had a wee look at it this morning. Stuck it in the vice ang gave it a few whacks with a punch and it popped clean off. I thought it would have been a tighter fit to be honest. Thanks for all the suggestions.
