Hello everyone, Gavin here. The throttle on my SX is sticking open when revved at about half throttle. Problem seems worse when stationary. I have to turn off ignition to stop revving then its fine when restarted. It also seems to be taking a long time to return to idle. The carb is a Jetex, do you think this is a carb problem or possibly a blown gasket? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like an airleak.

Where do you think this is likely to be?

Where do you think this is likely to be? Zorst / inlet manifold nuts loosened off or even cylinder head nuts loosened off. I'd check the zorst nuts first mind. If yer Simon cowell's been fettled it should be a case of a socket straight on if not off with the cowl.

Thanks Scott. Brass exhaust nut had stripped thread. Replaced it and fixed. Cheers.
