I had a similar problem with a Beedspeed kit for my GP. Here's what I put on the LCS site...
"Continued.....
Finally got some time to fit the front hub again, using the disc type axle pin.
All on ok , still outta line (gave up on that now) but after this , the brakes were sticking , big style. Over a long journey they would get hot as fk.
Noticed next day though , when I'd calmed doon, that because there was no nut holding the caliper mount in place, the alingnment on the caliper mount between the drum pin mount & centre nut was way out , making the plate veer off to the left at the top (as you look at it from the front)
Fitted 1 washer (2 was just too tight to get on) to the caliper side, and wheel spins free as onyhing now.
Still sits off centre, but wheel turns , and stops when it's meant to.... so that'll do the now.
Jeez , did any of you understand all that ?"
Basically , the hub/disc was sitting slightly off centre so the disc was at an angle in the caliper, fixed by packing in washers.
