just read yer post again.... drop the needle clip a position as this will help with fuel delivery. id offer to come and have a look as i have plenty of carb spares, but im in newcastle. Are you going to eclipse on sunday, i can get tam to drop of an as264 for you to try??

ive got some needles and jets nige although a cani mind the sizes..your more than welcome. other idea would be remove green loom wire from cdi that way rules oot the ignition being problematic (black sparkplug)...hard to say withoot hearing it.

Start with the basics change plug (new ones can be shit) check electric connection's have you a spare cdi unit, stator if not let me ken and I will give you a loan of them if that dis'na work you will have to ask why it seized in the first place air leak seals etc engine going for 6 years worn bearings etc coz a hoan is not going to change the jetting much ! But it does sound electrical are you going up on sat?

Plug i took oot wis a NGK 8, stuck a denso equivelent in. Scoot just four strokes if i use onything richer than a x7 (topclip) I've tried a 2, 13, and 7 oan every clip position and as I said it just machine guns like hell. 1st, 2nd, 3d gives a wee splutter before the main jet kicks in but when its in fourth and its asked to work it bogs doon (to much fuel) then will only run on 1st 1/4 or full throttle in all gears. Could be electrical but I've nae spare bits, Stu's me man for that. No going up to Oban Pidge, cannae even get it oot ma toon Can pop up tae Eclipse wi the motor Jets I've got are 118, 120, 125, 130 Needles, x2, x13, x7, x12

SOUNDS LIKE THE PROB A HAD LAST YEAR AFTER YOUR RALLY, FINE FOR ROOND THE DOORS OPEN UP & NOWT YOU COULD BUILD UP SPEED SLOWLY HILLS NA GOOD ! TURNED OOT MA RING WAS WORN (THAT WAS AFTER STAYIN AT URS) MINE WAS GETTIN HARDER TO START DUE TO LOSS OF COMPRESSION ? BUT IF YOURS IS STARTIN OK

Cheers for that Richard, I tried a search o the site but got nowhere, no the exact same problem but soonds familiar. Defo no the green wire, mine has been disconnected for the last two years. Will get the parts fae Scott and hopefully get it sorted ower the weekend
