try and work this out...keep getting a small oil leek .the engine is not running for a while and at the back of the carb box its wet running down the back casings.so when im driving it throughs it onto the back tyre..........thought clutch seal but if the engines not moving this would rule it out.. changed carb gaskets and the petrol does turn of so the carb is not over flowing...... always seems to come from the top of the carb box ??

i thought it was carb related as well but its oil ? might be where the oil goes in for injection at the carb or ?

sounds like a nackered kickstart shaft norry ;D could be the gasket betwixt your oil pump and carb box.

some 1 mentioned that here are grooves under which the oil injection flows through into the carb ( never noticed as never had that problem) might dis- connect the oil pipe and see if that clears and maybe also replace the gasket as wont do it any harm

yeah, groove in carb box and bottom of carb, if gasket is shot oil will seep out. careful if you use any gasket paste on this area norry, as it can sometimes block the grooves, and restrict oil flow to engine, resulting in a nip. or you could block autolube off to be on the safe side, and mix in the tank like us old blokes. i"ve blocked my autolube off on me p2, cos i like to mix me oil. but thats in the naughty corner cos its bust at the minute. tuned vespas + work miles= empty wallet!

careful if you disconnect your oil pipe, or disturb any part of your oil injection system. put 2% oil in first tank of petrol (even on rebuilt autolube motors) that"ll give the pump time to "prime" itself. it"ll run a bit rich /oily until the second tank of fuel, but better safe than sorry eh?!
