anyone any good with 12v batteries, i've got a fairlie new one in my scooter, i've had it on charge for a full day but when stuck in the scooter it powers the lights but does not start the scooter, if the acid water is changed and the battery recharged will this work, ktf.

check the ampage for the battery then go 2 kwik fit etc and get them to check it ....if its not giving out correct ampage could be a dead cell in the battery so adding distilled water might not have any effect once recharged

Mine is goosed too but I find if I use the kickstart and rev it for a bit I can then switch it off and immediately back on and then I can then use the electric start. Hope this helps.

ye were right scottie, the battery is goosed, now being thrown in the bin, dee, make sure your red cut out switch is not engaged, if it is, you will still have lights but no starter, KTF!
