the only way to get the seat on is to remove the air scoop, bit worried that the air wont scoop in , krawfs gave me a few ideas but anybody else come across this problem and what did you do

The air scoop shouldn't really matter as the air box has a large enough capacity that the carb is not hunting for the air. just look at a vespa, there isn't any scoop..... Though the seat could block the air flow, as the standard seat has a small arch that allows air under it. If your worried you could drill a series of hole directly on to the air box.
even easier just remove the air box and fit a remote filter like camlam/ scooter center koln breath easy....
simples really.
