Classic scooter run from John O'groats to Lands END
Gordon Hailstones (haily - Vespa club of Great Britain)
and
Bob Chalmers (wee bob - Lambretta club of Scotland)
and
Norman Batty (norry - Ayrshire Groundhogs scooter club)
and
mark beveridge (beva - a19's billingham)
are planning a charity run from John O'groats to Lands End on vespa and lambretta classics scooters
the timed distance they will need to travel is 840 miles
the total distance covered will be 1750 miles
they are hoping to do it in under 24 hours and are trying to beat thefastest time in the classic scooter scene which stands at just under 19 hours
if everything goes to plan they will be leaving on Tuesday the 23rd of July to journey ,from Glasgow , up to John O'Groats
there, they will stay the night as they plan to start the journey and leave John O'groats at 15.00 on the wednesday afternoon the 24th july
they should arrive at Lands End any time between 10am and 3pm on thursday 25th of july
they are planning to stay the night at Lands End and leave their on friday the 26th july and go to classic scooter rally being held somewhere on the route home(to be confirmed) that weekend to raise funds for the nominated charity
they will also be doing sponsor forms and asking all the scottish /uk scooter clubs if they would like to make a donation to raise money for charity as well
the nominated charity is help the hospices
