Just fitted a new simonini pipe and it's very tight on the casing under the kick start with no clearance, would it be OK to use a bit of heat & bend the pipe slightly to give clearance? Cheers for the help

Cheers Scottie -- aye Pipe is secure with the casing bolt - just need a couple of mill to get it clear of the casing -- it's real tight like.

deal done -- how wis the hols? Seriously I'm havin a mare wi the pipe & the Malossi kit, looks like the electric start will have tae come off noo as the cylinder casing on the kit is catching the cog on the back of the flywheel!! Pipe is as tight as a ducks hoop! Hopefully start the running in gig next week --feck, I'll get there!

Ditch the elec start
and the mirrors
and the seat (comforts for poofs an all)
and the indicators & anciliary wiring & switches.
And the autolube
and the side panels
ach , mudgaurd an all
There you go 7mph increase already.

grind the bottom couple of fins with a dremmel type tool. you can do this with the flywheel off, and the barrel in situ. keep your leccy start, px disc type flywheels are light enough , and too light a flywheel dosent bode well for the cosa style clutch, if fitted. port the casings, and fit a P200 24 mil carb. leave timing alone. i would fit a sito plus exhaust, simoninis are ok, but as youve found out, they are made by blind folk in a dark room. i would up-gear as well, by fitting a 21 tooth clutch cog, unless you do all your riding in town.run in for 1000 km (i know, it sound a lot) use mineral oil at 3% then fully synth (TTS/MX5 etc) AT 3, OR EVEN 2% round town. done loadsa these px conversion (and i mean FUGGIN LOADS) and they are a good little set up, dont expect it to be a TS1...................
