Noticed in your club history, your links with the above club, would that have stemmed back from one of the early Dunbars when quite a few were up ?, we bumped into some of them in The Ship ( I think thats what it was called) downstairs, that night The minehoff (outlaws at the time) were also downstairs there was a bit of friction but nothing happened, but we all had a great laugh with they boys, can remember us all drinking vodka with blue lemonade, must be one of these daft east coast drinks ;D,as I was as suprised as they were, had never seen it before the good old days eh !!!

Was a pub in the high street, on the "sea" side, could it have been called the Ship twentyfive or so years ago but now changed its name ?

As far as I can mind, the High street pubs then were The Eagle , Castle , Bull , Dolphin, George, Royal Mac, Hillside.
Ersa Ship in North Berwick.

Aye Gus, it was Dunbar 83 when we first met them. By the Sunday afternoon the minehoff were geting out of hand, trying to kick off any straggling scooters, mines included. When we got back to the campsite only two tents remained Ralph's (Andover) and Mick & Simon (Birmingham). The local Ford Escort boys started arriving and the mood started to change for the worst. We persauded the wifey who was the caretaker at the council caravan park at Winterfield to let them camp there. By this time it was getting dark and we were being followed everywhere by the Minehoff and Ford Escorts. Ralph had woken on the Sunday morning only to find the scooter he had borrowed to travel up on had been stolen. He phoned that week to say it had been found in Edinburgh and was at Fettis. We picked it up for him and took it down to Weston in the back up van. After that we never looked back. I'm a bit miffed Ralph's never came on the site and said hello. Maybe he's to busy playing chess and hockey
